THE CHAMBER OF ADVOCATES HOSTED RUSSIAN PARTNERS

At the invitation of the chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of RA Simon Babayan the advocates participating in international legal forum held in Yerevan were hosted at the Chamber of Advocates of RA.

Among the guests were the president of the Bar of Advocates of Leningrad Region Denis Laktionov, vice-president of the Bar of Advocates of Saint-Petersburg Rushan Chinokaev and representatives of Russian advocates’ community.

The chairman Simon Babayan greeted the Russian partners at the Chamber of Advocates of RA.

At the beginning of the meeting the guests visited the Chamber of Advocates of RA, had meetings with the rector of the Academy of Advocates of RA Ara Zohrabyan and the head of Public Defender’s Office Gevorg Mkrtchyan.

Afterwards the partners of two countries discussed joint partnership relations and a number of key issues related to advocacy.

Simon Babayan and Ara Zohrabyan answered the guests’ questions providing exchange of experience and a substantive conversation, as well as presented the current challenges related to the field and the mechanisms used by Armenian advocates to overcome them.

At the end of the meeting the Russian partners expressed gratitude for warm welcome and for organizing a productive discussion.
